Man they look so snug:)

Man they look so snug:)

lions

ok..so, with that many lions, wouldnt you at least be able to see one of them exhaling like we often do when its cold?

just because theirs snow on

just because theirs snow on the ground doesn't mean its cold out.
I live in Minnesota and sometimes we can go outside in shorts and a
t-shirt when theirs snow on the ground.

ok.. let me clear something

ok.. let me clear something up for you.
lions live in Africa.... the LARGE CONTINENT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GLOBULAR PLANNET WE CALL EARTH.

As an african, let me educate you.
it does not snow in the natuaral habitat of these african lions.
ALSO, most prides of lions do not have so many adult males (the ones with the black manes) there are usually 2-3 males in a pride in nature. SO ACTUALLY it is possible that this is in captivity, because thier warm fury coats are not made for the cold, (but believe it or not, to cool them down in the African heat, and allow a streamline figure when hunting, and for camoflauge purposes) environment, if this is in captivity, it makes perfect sense that they will be huddled together.

y does everyone care if this

y does everyone care if this pic is fake or not? and y do u think its fake? I live in alberta, i work at a zoo and we have lions, who play in the snow....so whats the argument? that lions cant survive in the snow or that this picture is fake?

There can be more than one

There can be more than one male lion in a Pride. It's when the males reach sexual maturity that they get kicked out by the females. That doesn't happen until they are about three years old. However these lions look well beyond that stage.

Lions in the Snow

You folks are just looking at the technical side of the photo. This is a beautify photo, notice that the male lions surround the female lions. This photo exudes power at rest, protection, comfort, unity, community and many more characteristics. Enjoy it for what it is!

I agree, everyone should just

I agree, everyone should just enjoy the pic. No need to get all technical.

Yes, but the problem is that

Yes, but the problem is that this picture falls apart when you consider lion society. There is no way there would be that many mature male lions in a pride. Fake pic.

true... there is only one

true...
there is only one male lion in a pride (at least that I know of)
anyway it doesn't matter
it's just a picture! I'm pretty sure know one
would be weird enough to stick a bunch of lions
IN THE SNOW!

who cares

shutup there all hot don't be jealous that you can't get the photo

if you will look

if you will look on the heads of liens you will see that contour is blurred. Guys! it is photoshop job !!

lions in snow

It was bad enough that these poor critters were snowed on, but now someone has put a lien on them as well?

oh for f*** sake

Why does everyone go "ooh blur! Fake!". It's a JPG, which is not exactly known for clear perfect images. JPG's ALWAYS have artifacts, and blur because they are COMPRESSED.

It is fake

If you look at the lions, there are about 2 or 3 lion faces that look exactly alike and are in the exact same position. There may have been 2 or 3 lions, but certainly not 12 or whatever we see here.

not buying it.

not buying it.

Enlarge it and look again - Faces are far from identical

True BUT the blurred area

True BUT the blurred area has a certain look that highly suggests the use of the smuge tool (such as the upper right lion's evenly spaced spikes on the fringe of his hair) Other clues that it is fake is a lack of interaction between the two questionable parts of the picture as well as depth of field errors (blurred areas next to sharp areas, and don't try telling me those sleeping lions are moving around creating that blur)

I dunno, that one in the

I dunno, that one in the front looks pretty happy. He's got a BIG SMILE on!

Both of those guys are

Both of those guys are smiling. You would be too if you were snuggling up to your harem!

Yeah, because it's not like

Yeah, because it's not like lions have a winter fur coat or anything, and couldnt be fine. duurrr.

Cats have higher resting

Cats have higher resting body temperatures and a higher metabolism than human's do. duurrr.
Of course they are warm in snow! Especially when they spend all their time running around africa with all that fur under the blazing sun at temps over 100ºF. duurrr-umbass...

Lions In The Snow

This is a beautiful photo, but I'd sure like to know where and how this picture was taken. Are these animals in captivity? I would not think the animals are accustomed to snowy conditions and if not captured, would find a more hospitable location for resting.

hope you're kidding...

.... cus this is just an obvious and pretty bad photoshop manip.

no it's not. I've been

no it's not. I've been working with photoshop for ten years professionally, and if this is a "manip" there is nothing obvious about it. why are the lions so full of fur? because they're probably used to living in a northern, colder clime. you have heard of wild animal preserves and private reserves, right? why are they all huddled up together looking cold like that? why does it have to be a "manip" just because you can't explain it?
sorry, I've examined it closely, and there's no obvious seam where a mask was cut, and all the lights and shadows are congruent. where are the mistakes which make it so obviously manipulated? I'd say if this were a photoshop job, it's an expert job, not obvious...
and, well, while we're at it, is this one fake too?
