This is a beautiful photo, but I'd sure like to know where and how this picture was taken. Are these animals in captivity? I would not think the animals are accustomed to snowy conditions and if not captured, would find a more hospitable location for resting.
Cats have higher resting body temperatures and a higher metabolism than human's do. duurrr.
Of course they are warm in snow! Especially when they spend all their time running around africa with all that fur under the blazing sun at temps over 100ºF. duurrr-umbass...
Why does everyone go "ooh blur! Fake!". It's a JPG, which is not exactly known for clear perfect images. JPG's ALWAYS have artifacts, and blur because they are COMPRESSED.
True BUT the blurred area has a certain look that highly suggests the use of the smuge tool (such as the upper right lion's evenly spaced spikes on the fringe of his hair) Other clues that it is fake is a lack of interaction between the two questionable parts of the picture as well as depth of field errors (blurred areas next to sharp areas, and don't try telling me those sleeping lions are moving around creating that blur)
If you look at the lions, there are about 2 or 3 lion faces that look exactly alike and are in the exact same position. There may have been 2 or 3 lions, but certainly not 12 or whatever we see here.
You folks are just looking at the technical side of the photo. This is a beautify photo, notice that the male lions surround the female lions. This photo exudes power at rest, protection, comfort, unity, community and many more characteristics. Enjoy it for what it is!
Yes, but the problem is that this picture falls apart when you consider lion society. There is no way there would be that many mature male lions in a pride. Fake pic.
