Saying that a hermit crab won't go into a shell it doesn't like just proves you know nothing about hermit crabs. Do a little research on all the companies that force crabs into painted shells that nearly every pet store sells. They force these crabs out of their shells, usually by raising or lowering the temperature to the point that the crab goes into shock and runs from it's natural shell. Then they're moved into a container that only contains painted shells, and anyone who owns hermit crabs knows that the shells that all these crabs are in, 99% of the time these are not the typical shells that these crabs would be in. This is a sick and awful idea, anyone who does this to a hermit crab is committing animal cruelty.
